WESLACO - Betty Dyslin, 88, passed away at her home, John Knox Village Weslaco, on August 12, 2021. On July 21, 1933, Betty was born to George Carl Anderson and Elizabeth Matilda Deede Anderson in Oak Park, Illinois. Betty married Francis Edward Dyslin “Frank” while she was still in college, and they enjoyed forty-four years of marriage until Frank’s passing in 1997. After earning her Bachelor's Degree, Betty and Frank settled in Dallas, where Betty thrived in the real estate business. She worked her way up to a real estate broker, winning numerous awards as a top salesperson.

Betty and Frank had four children. Betty was not only a successful businesswoman, but she was a fantastic homemaker and cook. Everyone enjoyed her famous lasagna, breakfast souffle, and Thanksgiving dressing.

Betty was honest and firm in her beliefs and opinions. She was a great example of creating success through hard work and dedication. Betty's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Anderson, husband, Francis Edward Dyslin “Frank”, sons, Brad Lee Dyslin and Dean Michael Dyslin, daughter, Deann Elizabeth Dyslin O'Connor and brothers George Carl Anderson Jr. and Warren Deede Anderson.

She is survived by her son, Brian Edward Dyslin, and his wife, Debbie of Buda, Texas, bonus daughter, Judi Autrey and husband Freddy of Mabank, Texas, seven grandchildren, Courtney Carter and husband, Carlton of Mabank, Texas, Kyle Dyslin of Mabank, Texas, Dean Dyslin and wife, Regina, of Rowlett, Texas, Dustin Klendworth of Mabank, Texas, Desiree Short and husband, Chris, of McDonough, Georgia, Michael O'Connor and wife, Kelcey of Kemp, Texas, Tiffany O'Connor of McDonough, Georgia, nine great-grandchildren, Colton, Caleb, Isabelle, Lundyn, Elijah, Brantley, Brooklyn, Katelyn, and Madilyn.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 15th, 5-8 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. On Monday, August 16th, family only will gather for a graveside services at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, officiated by Dr. Rev. Steven Parker of First Baptist Church Weslaco.
