    Diane Brodin

    May 30, 1944 - August 30, 2020

Weslaco- Diane Elizabeth Brodin, 76, passed away on Sunday, August 30th, 2020, at her home in Weslaco. Diane was born on May 30th, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Edgar McIndoo and Eleanor Seaborg. Diane grew up in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where she graduated from high school. After graduating high school, she married Bruce Brodin, and they raised three children in Champlin, Minnesota. Diane ran a daycare out of the family home for a few years. When her kids went to school, Diane went to work in the school district, managing the food service department at Jackson Middle School, where she worked until retirement, 28 years later. During retirement she and Bruce spent some time traveling together and enjoyed a couple of relaxing cruises. Diane and Bruce retired down in Weslaco, Texas and spent their summers in Hinckley Minnesota. They made many friends in both locations and were able to enjoy the warmer weather. Diane enjoyed reading, quilting, singing in the church choir and was an excellent baker. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Eleanor McIndoo, her loving husband, Bruce Brodin, her brother Dave McIndoo and grandson, Eric Brodin. She is survived by her sons, Buck Brodin (Judy), and Mark Brodin (Tina), of Minnesota, daughter, Kimberly Aurzada (David), of Southlake, Texas, grandchildren, Rachel Parks (James), and Andrew Aurzada, and great-grandchildren, Bennett, Kaden, and Kyla Parks; also by her brother Doug McIndoo and sister Dawn Zarriello. Memorial service will be held Spring of 2021, in Minnesota.
