Esperanza Uresti Sandoval

December 18, 1933 — February 9, 2017

DONNA - Esperanza Uresti Sandoval, 83 Years, of Donna, passed away on February 9, 2017 at the Amara Hospice in Edinburg. She was born on December 18, 1933 to Juan and Maria Victoria Uresti at Woodsboro, TX. My grandma was a magnificent lady inside and out. Esperanza was a true fighter. Each time I would take her a bouquet of flowers I would always have at least one sunflower in the middle. Sunflowers symbolize adoration and loyalty. These flowers are unique and they have the ability to provide energy, and therefore she is our sunshine. Esperanza also know to many of us as Goodie Goodie loved to listen to all types of music. She would sing and do gritos. There are many great memories she has shared with us all. I recall when she would come over, and would snack and leave everything opened. She tried to be discrete, but she would burn the tortillas or leave the crumbs on the counter. She would watch tv, and would have the volume to the max and would swing in the rocking chair. She looked forward to the weekend, because Pizza Hut was her weekly tradition. Fifteen years ago her life took a turn around. She was then placed in a nursing home. Although half her body was paralyzed she still managed to be a fighter. All her caregivers were either pinched, kicked, punched, or bit. She was filled with tough love. She would call us names and would laugh after. I would tell her, "Ya me voy a ir porque eres mala con migo, and, "She would say pos que te vaya bien." Everyday spent with her was the best days of our lives. She knew how to place a smile on our faces. I hope you're dancing in the sky, and I hope you're singing in the angels' choir. I hope the angels, know what they have. I bet it's so nice up in heaven since you've arrived. Grandma may you Rest In Peace with your parents, brothers, sisters, and son. Esperanza is survived by her loving spouse of 65 years Pablo A.
