Felicitas Ramon

Weslaco: Felicitas Ramon, 90, passed away at her home on Monday, April 18th, 2022. On December 25th, 1931, Felicitas was born to Mateo Buenrostro and Encarnacion Lozoya in Mexico. Felicitas met her soulmate, Ricardo Ramon, when she was a teenager. Felicitas and Ricardo were married and had twelve children. The family migrated to the United States in the early 1980s and spent the rest of their lives in Weslaco. Felicitas was a terrific wife, homemaker and mother. Ricardo and Felicitas had a dozen children total. She loved caring for her children, but the grandchildren were her world. Felicitas loved to play Loteria with her family during the weekends. She also enjoyed being outdoors and caring for her plants and flowers in her garden. Felicitas is preceded in death by her husband Ricardo Ramon, parents, Mateo and Encarnacion Buenrostro, brothers, Justo, Alejandro and Fernando Buenrostro, daughter, Amalia Zuniga, and son-in-law, Rodolfo Brown. She is survived by her children, Angelica Barrera, Apolonia Mireles, Ricardo Ramon Jr., Ernesto Ramon, Argelia Brown (Rodolfo+), Gregoria Ramon, Doroteo Ramon, Maria Ramon, Corcina Ramon, Benito Ramon, and Jose Marin Ramon, 42 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, 10 am-9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm. Public visitation will be Sunday, April 24th, 1-9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 25th, at 10 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa, followed by burial at Sacred Park Cemetery.
