Gil "Beto" Cavazos

WESLACO - Gil "Beto" Cavazos born in Robstown, Texas September 1, 1949 to Martin Cavazos and Rubistana Pena Cavazos. Gil married his middle school sweetheart Emma Cardona Cavazos. They were married for 50 years. They had three children Rene Cavazos, Irene Cavazos Gutierrez and Enrique Cavazos and two grandchildren Roman Joshua Gutierrez and Eben Cavazos. He leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, his brother Daniel Cavazos, daughter in law Olga A. Cavazos and son in law Roman Gutierrez. He worked as a truck driver and has traveled to many places throughout the United States. He would always tell his family about the places and events he had seen. At times, his wife Emma would also travel with him.Gil enjoyed going to the movies every Friday with his sweetheart, Emma. He enjoyed working around his yard, loved listening to Elvis Presley music and watching western movies.
