Janet Elaine Ault

Weslaco - Janet Elaine Ault, 74, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her home in Weslaco.

Janet was a member of the Weslaco Methodist Church although not active in recent years. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed reflecting on them and their accomplishments. She loved to sew and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed horses and loved to go to the hunting lease to be with family and friends. Janet graduated from Weslaco High School and Durham Business College, raised a family, and worked as a secretary for the Texsun Corporation, the Mid Valley Board of Realtors, and Public Information Office of the Weslaco Independent School District.

She is preceded in death by her parents F.I. Rakestraw and Edith Rakestraw. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Robert H. (Buddy) Ault, Sister, Kathy Crow, Brothers Kenneth Rakestraw and wife Irma, Gary Rakestraw and wife Kathy, Sons, Kevin Ault and wife Debby, Brian Ault and wife Letty, and Russell Ault, Grandchildren, Brandon Ault, Ryan Ault, Katie Ault, Christina Solis, Steven Tyler Ault and Greta.

Janet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She lived a long and fulfilling life and will be greatly missed and loved by all whose lives she touched. Funeral arrangements are under the care of McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
