    Karen Sue Bricker

    October 3, 1951 - April 2, 2022

    HARLINGEN - Karen Sue Bricker passed away on Saturday, April 2 at 10:35pm from complications of pneumonia at Valley Baptist Hospital emergency room. She was born in Salem, Ohio on October 3, 1951, to Evelyn Wilkes. She went to school in Fairfield and Columbiana where she graduated in 1969. She worked several management jobs in manufacturing and purchasing in Texas, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio. She also taught several different community college courses. She leaves behind her husband of 52 ½ years Michael, a daughter Karen Lynn (Michael) Melcher of Mission TX, Kathy (Jimbo) Plum of Wellsville, OH, and Kelly (Robert) Taylor of San Antonio, TX, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents Libby and Charles Wilkes, 2 uncles, 2 aunts and several cousins. Karen was proud of her daughters and doted on her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs. She loved to travel, and she loved the beach. She also enjoyed eating out and her several trips to Europe. She will certainly be missed. A remembrance will be scheduled at a later time.
