    Kathy Lynn Meadows

    June 9, 1952 - January 21, 2022

Kathy Lynn Meadows passed away on January 21, 2022. She was 69 years of age and resided at John Knox Village in Weslaco, Texas. Kathy was born in Akron, Ohio on June 9, 1952. She was preceded by her parents, Robert McElroy and Ruth Plante of Phoenix Arizona. Kathy was a devout wife to her husband Donald Meadows, married August 1,1970. She was a military wife to Don while he served 29 years in the U.S. Air Force. After retirement she loved to travel with her husband Donald Meadows in their motorhome. She loved their trips north to South Dakota and especially their 90 plus days to Alaska and Canada. They fished and explored all over Canada and Alaska during their travels plus they also made a trip to the Stampede in Calgary. She loved to play and attend many sports. Kathy especially loved playing golf with friends. She was an amazing mother to her 2 children, Tamara Jean Kraabel living at Troy Illinois and Thomas Ray Meadows, living at Hockley Texas as well as a second mom to a large number of Air Force Academy Cadets during the time they lived in Colorado Springs. Kathy is survived by her loving husband Donald Meadows, Sister Becky Payne and brother Greg Plante. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Zach Kraabel (21), a senior at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan; Elijah Kraabel (18), a freshman at University of Wisconsin-Superior in Superior, Wisconsin; and Samantha Meadows (17), a junior in High School in Cypress, Texas. She lived and passed under the amazing care of the entire staff at John Knox Village. Kathy and Don have lived at John Knox Village the last 3 years and would like to thank the caring and selfless staff who watched over Kathy in the last 15 months at the Health Center. The family asks that in lieu of flowers or any other gestures, that you offer donations in her name to John Knox Village in Weslaco.
