Louise E. Hensley

January 20, 1934 — February 2, 2021

Louise E. Hensley, 87, went to be with the lord on February 2nd, 2021, with her loving husband by her side in Harlingen, Texas.
As Louise requested there will not be a memorial service.

She was born January 20, 1934, in Staunton, VA to Austin and Carmen Harris.

Louise was the precious wife of George M. Hensley and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, friends, and family. Louise was a mother, homemaker and maintained the bookkeeping for the family logging company.

Louise was a force of good in this world and went above and beyond to make sure her friends, family, and even some strangers were taken care of. She never gave up on those she loved and fought tirelessly to give them the best chance they had in this world.

She was brilliant, strong, tough, and determined while remaining warm, gentle, and generous.

She was devoutly dedicated to serving the Lord and spreading the Lord’s message. Her faith was what drove her throughout her entire life. She was saved by the love of the Lord and made it a mission to help others know the teachings of the Lord.

Her interests included family, gardening, crocheting, sewing, studying the bible, playing cards with friends, and spending time with her best friend and husband George. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her children, grandchildren, and many pets over the years.

Mrs. Hensley is survived by her beloved husband, George Hensley; son, Ricky Painter & his wife Linda; daughter, Katrina Jaeger: daughter Pamela Lee & her husband Greg, and grandchildren; Charmaine, Sherry Lynn, Laurie, Nathaniel, Brittiany, Janel, Kelly, Nicholas, Mia, Stephen, Sean, Christine, and Chastin. Louise was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon, and son George (Stephen) along with her siblings and parents.

The last words she wrote in her journal were “I thank God for George. He is the thing for me. He was given to me by God. Thank you.” Her last words were “I love you” to the love of her life, George.

“Now when you die your life goes on
It doesn't end here when you're gone
Every soul is filled with light,
It never ends and if I'm right,
Our love can even reach across eternity
I believe”
