    Victor Sandoval

    August 23, 1944 - August 1, 2020

Raymondville-Victor L Sandoval, 75, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020. On August 23, 1944, he was born to Victor Sandoval and Juanita Lopez in Weslaco, Texas. Victor grew up in Weslaco with seven siblings. His parents instilled the importance of faith and their Catholic religion, and he attended St. Joan Catholic school in Weslaco. After Victor graduated high school at Lyford High School, he worked at Hagen electric in Mercedes where he obtained some training. He then attended North Texas State University foran electrical engineering degree and also acquired a prestigious job as the supervisor of the electrical department at the university. There Victor was a master electrician for over 20 years. He started his business Berry Delicious and we loved to stop by the booth he had at the Mercedes livestock show every year. Later he merged his company with Valley Pecan and would take us all to pick up inventory all over the state. His road trips were always full of laughs and good food. We would stop at little hidden cafes that had the best foods and deserts oh and best prices. Victor was voted the most handsome from Lyford High School; he always lit up a room with his beautiful green eyes and a huge smile. He loved to research the newest tools that he could use for one of these many hobbies and projects. Victor enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing. His favorite pastime was getting together with family and friends, whether it was for birthday parties, Easter, or other special occasions at his family ranch. Victor was a hard worker, and everything he set out to do was completed with perfection. He was funny, full of energy and life, and a joy to be around. Victor had childhood friends that he kept up with most of his life. Leo was his side-kick, and his co-workers became best friends, Charlie, Wayne, and Parker, to name a few. Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and San Juanita Sandoval, brother, Leonel Sandoval (Adela), and sister, Oralia “Lala” Marez. He is survived by his son, Eddie Sandoval, daughter, Sandra Muñoz (Julio Alejandro), grandchildren, Aaron and Anthony Sandoval, Alexandra and Edgar Moreno, Chloe and Aaliyah Munoz, great-grandchildren, Sophia Grace and Raelynn Moreno, great-grandchildren, Laiyah and Atticus Sandoval, siblings, Felix Sandoval (Melba), Stella Wisner (Robert), Daniel Sandoval (Abby), Aurora Alaniz (Mario), and George Sandoval (Ester). Victor loved to laugh and was also very kind to anyone he met. Lending a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He loved to travel and see many stunning views. Always stopping to smell the roses. Enjoyed life to the fullest.
