Weslaco- Our beloved Amy was born on January 24, 1975, to Ezequiel Saenz Jr. and Sylvia Saenz of Weslaco, Texas. She left behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed. Everyone recognized and loved Amy for her inspiring energy and beaming smile.

As a child, Amy enjoyed competing in cheerleading, gymnastics, twirling, ballet, sports, dancing, and roller skating. She strived to perform her best and took pride in her accomplishments. She graduated from Weslaco High School-Class of 1993 and attended the University of Texas-San Antonio, earning a Business Administration Degree in Accounting. After graduation, Amy began her professional career spanning twenty-one years. She started with the City of San Antonio and the City of McAllen, serving the last six years as Director of Administrative Operations for Hidalgo County, Precinct 1. On June 16, 2001, Amy and Trey exchanged marital vows, followed by a wedding reception full of endless love, laughter, and dancing! Amy lived life to the fullest. In her spare time, often documenting her passion for nature through her beautiful photography. She leaves an abundance of breathtaking pictures and videos of her thriving garden, sunsets, live concerts, traveling, and dancing. Amy was a woman of strong faith who prayed daily and expressed continuous gratitude for her blessings. She truly appreciated capturing God’s creations all around her.
