Arturo "Art" Ramos

Weslaco- Arturo “Art” Ramos, 57, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his residence in Weslaco surrounded by his family. He was born on April 25, 1956 to Ricardo and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez Ramos in Weslaco, TX.
He was well known in the community and had been employed as an A/C technician with Pizza Huts valley wide for over 35 years. His passion was working on muscle cars and race cars with his son, Art Jr. Art was respected by all who knew him and will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Ramos. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Ramos; his son, Arturo (Roberta) Ramos Jr.; daughters, Catherine Ramos Benitez and Cynthia Ramos; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Leticia Porter.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Holy rosary recited at 7:00 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Serving as pallbearers will be Arturo Ramos Jr., Ismael Benitez, Anthony Arredondo, Nathaniel Benitez, John Lucas De Leon, Nikolas Benitez, Sebastian Benitez and Arty Ramos III.
