George Thomas Kopecky
June 28, 1940 — March 10, 2015
Terrell-George T Kopecky, 74, entered into his final resting place on March 10th, 2015. George is survived by his loving wife of nearly 35 years and his step son, Norman Easom. George was the 2nd of 6 sons and is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Betty Kopecky and his brother Robert. He is survived by his brothers Joe, Richard, Paul and Tom Kopecky.
George was in the US Airforce. He was an Electrical Engineer and worked for Western Electric/AT&T and Lucent/Alcatel Technologies.
He was a graduate of Lamar University, Weslaco High School and St. Joan of Arc private school.
George was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed carpentry. He built many of the household furnishings and even built their family home, from 1980 to 1983, and he thoroughly enjoyed this.
He was active in his church, St John’s in Terrel, TX and was Eucharistic Minister.
George was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
