Gloria Guajardo

Weslaco- Gloria Guajardo, 88, was called to be with the Lord on January 18, 2014 at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco. She was born in Seguin, TX to Eutemio Nino and Eulalia Benavides Nino on August 5, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arturo Guajardo; brother, Eutemio Nino Jr.; sons, Modesto and Ruben Guajardo; and her 3 grandsons, Charles Rene Montano and Robert & Ramon Espinoza III.
She is survived by her children, Arturo (Vita) Guajardo Jr., Alberto (Yolanda) Guajardo, Carmen (Ramon) Espinoza, Elida (Chavelo) Montano, Velma (Luis) Flores, Frances (Arturo) Vasquez and +Ruben (Ninfa) Guajardo; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 2pm to 9pm, with a holy rosary at 7pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 3pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Serving as pallbearers will be Erasmo “Buddy” Gonzales III, Richard Montano, Luis Flores Jr., Zachary Guajardo, Cynthia Flores and Gabriella Gonzales.
