Helen E. Swails Davis

Corpus Christi- Helen Swails Davis, 84, passed away on January 7, 2014, in Corpus Christi, TX. She was born on May 30, 1929 in Madison, WI to Roy and Mary Schott.
She worked at First Natl Bank of Weslaco as a bookkeeper and teller for most of her career and retired when the bank closed. She enjoyed swimming, gardening, bowling, dancing and just life in general. She was married to Wayne R Swails for 18 years who was the father of her four children.
Helen was preceded in death by her second husband, Dean Davis of Weslaco, TX., her parents, and her two brothers Robert and Richard Schott.
She is survived by her four children John (Mona) Swails of Byran, TX; Jerry Swails of Corpus Christi, TX; Joyce (John) Eckstein of Oklahoma City, OK; and Janet (Terry) Yarbrough of Corpus Christi, TX. She has 7 grandchildren, Richard Swails, Rana Swails, Kelli Swails, Cimarron Yarbrough, Jeffrey Eckstein, Jennifer (Dave) Young and Julie (Tyler) Hanevold and two great grandchildren Cassie McAden and Tori Ferrell.
Visitation will be held between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with funeral services following at 1 p.m. at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco, TX, on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Internment will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
