Johnny McDaniel

March 8, 1955 — November 13, 2023

Pharr

Pharr- Johnny McDaniel, beloved son, father, and friend, peacefully ended his earthly journey at his home on November 13, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1955, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to  John Henry McDaniel and Rosie Inez Boone.

Although a commercial fisherman by trade, in 1990, after an encounter with Jesus Christ, Johnny became a “fisher of men.” Whether working or golfing, he looked for every opportunity to share the love of Christ with whomever he crossed paths with. He lived by Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.

Johnny’s life here ended peacefully at home, knowing the promises of God are “Yeah and Amen.”

2 Timothy 4: 6-8 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Community Church, Donna, Texas, 1603 Hooks Ave, Donna, Texas 78537.

Johnny is preceded in death by his dad, John Henry McDaniel, mom and step-father  Rosie Inez and Cecil Boone, sons  Justin Matthew McDaniel and John Henry McDaniel, and siblings Steven Glenn McDaniel, Deborah Jean Powers, Ernest Lavell Jordan, and Traci Lynn Jordan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jenny Farris McDaniel; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Melinda and Geoffrey James Mysorski; grandsons, Milo Greene Mysorski and Sabastian River Mysorski
