Julia Limon Lopez

DONNA - Julia (Limon) Lopez, 92, passed away peacefully from this life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco. She was surrounded by her loving family while at Valley Grande Manor during the last days of her life.

Julia was born in San Benito, TX but resided most of her life in Grand Rapids, MI with her husband Bernardo of 69 years.

Her interests included family, hearing Catholic mass on Sunday, listening to Tex-Mex music, passing on her cooking traditions, and watching classic Westerns. Julia always wore a smile on her face especially around family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. "To know her was to love her".

Julia was preceded in death by her parents Vidal and Guadalupe Limon, son Benjiman, her beloved husband Bernardo, five brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include her children: Syliva Lopez, Yolanda (Gabriel) Alejos, Reynaldo Lopez, Thelma Lopez, Luis Limon Lopez, Armando Lopez; sisters Dora, Patricia, Lidia, and Paula; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
