Kenneth Ray

November 6, 1937 — June 17, 2014

Weslaco-Kenneth Ray passed away on June 17th, 2014 at Knapp Medical Center. Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Reece, his mother Elloween and his sister Margaret Ryder. He is survived by his wife, Frances, his sisters, Roberta Knott and Marti McCaslin, his daughter Shannon L. Ray, and his step-son, Ricky Myers and step-daughter Emily (Robert) Carter, step grandchildren, Madeline Fowler, Katie and Patrick Manning, Nathan Myers. Kenneth had numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Kenneth served in the Air Force and was a contract specialist @ the US Department of Defense for over 32 years. He spent most of his life in Oklahoma, but traveled to the Rio Grande Valley in 1998 and he and Frances fell in love with it. They lived in Mission for many years and moved to John Knox Village in 2008. When not defending our country, Ken was a member of the Rolls- Royce Club of America and enjoyed reading about the fascinating car. He and his wife traveled nearly the entire United States. Kenneth was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
