Maria Guadalupe Vasquez

Tifton, Georgia/Edinburg- Mrs. Mary Guadalupe Vasquez, 72, of Omega, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Mary’s wishes were to be sent to Edinburg, Texas to be laid to rest near to her parents.

Mrs. Vasquez was born March 6, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Patricio Vasquez and Juanita Villarreal Vasquez. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Cavazos, her daughter San Juanita Cavazos and her granddaughter, Analisa Villarreal. She was a member of our Divine Savior Catholic Church and was a homemaker. Mary had lived in Tift County for the past twenty years. She enjoyed music especially Elvis, traveling and watching movies. Her family was the center of her life. One of the high points of her life was visiting Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Miss Vasquez loved to sing.

Mrs. Vasquez is survived by her children. Margarita Arguelles, Juan Cavazos, Maria Linda Villarreal, Delia Lyons, Guadalupe “Wale” Cavazos, Jesse Cavazos and Lucio Cavazos; her siblings, Patricio Vasquez, Jr., Juan Vasquez, Jose Vasquez, Antonio Vasquez, Luisa (Lucy) Vasquez, Bertha (Betty) Vasquez and Becky Vasquez
