In all honesty, as much as I love all my cousins, on both the Oliva and Hernández side, I have to admit that Juanita, Olga, Jorge, and Carlos Garcia have had and always will continue to have a very very special place in my life and in my heart! I was devastated when Jorge passed away so many years ago, and now again with the loss of our beloved Olgie. These four cousins, the eldest ones in our family, were my first babysitters, my introduction to neighborhood shenanigans, walks to the local "tiendita," AND my first experience attending a concert in its field house way back when UTPA was still Pan American College. The star performer was none other than hunky Johnny Rodriguez! I was in awe of being treated like an adult by the most beautiful older girls and handsomest boys in my life! Thank you Janie, Olgie, Jorge, and Charlie for helping me grow up with some of the best examples a young girl could have. The four of you, along with your Mom, my beloved Tía Lencha, are always in my heart!
