Robert Truman Woodell of Glen Rose, Texas passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2021. Robert was born in Jasper, Texas on September 29, 1953, to Bud and Bonnie Woodell.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Jennifer Linnell and husband David of Gunter, Texas, daughter Amy Woodell of Frisco, Texas, and his beloved grandchildren Witten Kye Linnell and Brynlee Dess Linnell. Also, his sisters Dessanne Rabun (Clyde) of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Donna Meek (Donnie) of Newton, Texas, along with too many cousins, nieces, and nephews to count. He is proceeded in death by his parents David Albert “Bud” Woodell and Bonita "Bonnie" Dess Woodell of Jasper, Texas.
Robert worked in the insurance industry since 1982 and made many close friends during his career. He loved the Lord, his family, his friends, golf, and laughing. If you knew him, he told you a joke or a story you didn’t sign up to hear, and sometimes (oftentimes) he’d tell you what you needed to do and how to do it.
Robert & Linda had just completed their forever home on the Brazos River, planning to retire and enjoy a life of leisure. God had other plans and called him to his real forever home on November 15th.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Robert’s life on December 4 at 2 PM at MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church, 8001 Mustang Drive, Irving, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation in his memory to the one of following charities that Robert supported, or to one of your choosing:
