William "Bill" Tyler Dudley Jr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, after a lengthy illness. He passed away at his home in Canyon Lake, TX. Bill was born on August 27, 1941, to William T. Dudley Sr. and Francille (Koko) Dudley in Mercedes, TX.

He grew up in Elsa, Texas with his two brothers, Chuch, and Jack where they all graduated from Edcouch Elsa High School. Bill has very outgoing, actively participating in all sports, with football being his favorite. He was also active in F.F.A. and graduated in 1959.

Shortly after high school, Bill served in U.S. Army, where he served as an MP in Germany in the early 60s. After three years of service to our county, Bill was honorably discharged and came back to Elsa to work with his father on the family farm. Eventually, Bill took over the family business, Dudley Farms, which he managed for many years. He later moved from South Texas and became a truck driver, driving for paving companies. As he traveled, he fell in love with the hill country, which is also where he met his second wife, Billy Ann. They were married for 29 years.

Bill was a true Dallas Cowboy fan. He would call family members to make sure they were watching, even the ones who didn't like football. Bill had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Bill never lost his love of agriculture. He loved to plant pretty much anything and was very good at it. He was very proud of serving in the Army and extremely patriotic. He was always seen wearing his proud veterans ball cap.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles "Chuck" and Jack Dudley.

He is survived by his wife, Billy Ann, son Mark (Doris), Matt (Lisa) and daughter, Jennifer (Joey Muniz), grandchildren, Brittany, Chris (Gaby), Tyler, Walker, Ginger, Caleb, and Jacob.

His family misses him dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 17th, at 10 am, at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Museum, 2520 S Intl. Blvd., Mission, TX.
