I was saddened to learn of Errol's passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to Barbara, children and grandchildren.
I knew Errol beginning in the first grade, and we graduated from EE High together. Errol was one of the best people I have ever known, strong character, someone you could count on. Growing up we fished and camped together. I recall overnight fishing/camping trips to South Padre and Bentsen State Park; many other great memories. The square dances at the Lewis house introduced us to a social life, proper etiquette, and just good times.
Errol and I spoke infrequently after HS, but I always considered him a good friend, and I will miss him.
Good bless you all.

My Dear Friend Scott and Family,
My deepest condolences to you and your family upon the passing of your father: Mr. Lewis. I fondly remember; how loving, nurturing and caring he was to all the knuckleheads that showed up to your wonderful home.
He definitely had a green thumb, beautiful plants he cared for in the backyard, it brought so much peace during my tumultuous teen years. But then again, he always made feel welcomed into your home. Coming over to your home, I vividly remember Mr. Lewis riding his lawnmower; a cigarette in one had and his Coors in the other.
I truly believe, I am the father today, because he taught me what a nurturing and loving father is supposed to be. May God’s peace with you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers,

Domingo Perez
