I would like to have words to comfort, but there are no words that can heal our grief. David Gomez, peace be with him, was a humble teacher and a good example for many of us as children. Abundant life and peace to Elvia, David and all the family and friends of the family. Tirza was a childhood friend in elementary school. Mr. Gomez was our principal. My deepest condolences.
Our prayers are with the family in this time of great sadness. David was such a special man in every respect. You well be missed, neighbor.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Gomez was my first Boss with the WISD. I started with WISD in the summer of 79'. I worked for him as a Clerk under the Manpower program. I loved working for this man for he was always kind and respectful. If he had something to say he would . An honest and humble man. I stayed for the District for 41 years and Never did I forget Mr. Gomez. I would in time run into him and he never forgot my name. The respect I had for him and the respect he showed us as Para professionals was great. Not once did he show us that he was above us. He will be missed not only by his employees but sadly his family who love him with all their hearts. He was a kind man . He is with God now and will never be forgotten.

David Gomez, Sr. was a second father to me. His family was our family. He and Mrs. G. were the parents to my best friend in the whole world, Tirza Gomez-Garcia, who I met when we got to 4th grade. From that year forward, the two gorditas were forever friends, and Mr. G. became a second Dad to me. And it didn't stop right there, either...the extended families became my family, too...the Millers, the Penas, the Martinezes, all of us forever joined. The memories would fill books! There really are no words to adequately express what a deep loss this is to me, my brothers and sisters, and to our Mother. The past 50 years have been all the better for having the Gomez family in our lives. To David and Elvia and all the extended family, I (we) offer you my (our) most sincere and deepest condolences on Dad's passing. I know in my heart that Dona Sarita, Tirza, and Mom are overjoyed to welcome him. Thank you for everything, Dad! I love you! ~Rosie
Magic Valley Retired School Personnel Association members will miss David Gomez. He was a kind man.
