I'm Bubba's cousin and even though we both lived in Donna and on the same street we never were super close. Maybe that's cuz she was a bit older than me. But anytime we did talk, it was like we did so all the time. She never met a stranger, and she took care of anyone she could. She helped me out many times when I needed an injection and was too scared to do it myself. She would come to Mom's, and a couple times I stopped by her house on my way to bingo or whatever and she'd take care of me. Way back in the day when I thought of going to nursing school she tried to help me with a few lessons and stuff. I remember her going to nursing school during the day and managing a nightclub at night to pay the bills and take care of her boys. She was definitely a hard worker and loved her kids more than anything. She was a great person. RIP Bubba :)

My Sister, a care giver to the very last day of her life. We were raised by a single Mother in a time when that was uncommon and there were not the schemes and hand outs by the govt like there are now. Our Mother had to work at hard labor year round in the fruit and vegetable industry to raise us, with no help from a father that abandoned us at the ages of 3 & 4. We both learned the value of hard work from our Mother through her example, and it is a skill that served us both well. My sister, also a single mother, worked and put herself through college receiving her nursing degree so that she could provide for her sons. Her job didn't stop when she left the hospital. She used her nursing skills to care for many family members including our maternal Grandmother, our Mother, cousin, and others, and during the last year of her life, although in bad health herself, she retired to care for our Aunt Eula, and her son Ricky. You won't find many people like her that was selfless and put others needs and cares ahead of her own. I will certainly miss her until we all meet again. She can finally rest!

You put so many other peoples needs before your own. You truly had a heart of gold. Bubba, you are going to be missed more than you could of ever known. But.. I know Big Mama and Your mom were so glad to have you come home!
Bubba was one hell of a nurse, for sure! And she busted her butt over the years to see to it her boys were taken care of. She came to my rescue a few times when I was sick and she was smarter than any of the doctors she worked with. B7...BINGO!
RIP BUBBA!
Mom you were always so accepting of me never judging me.. You loved me as my own mother does. Unconditionally. And I love you so much the same...you were a mother to me and I am blessed to have known your love.. My life will never be the same without you here to give me those dirty looks and call me a you know what everyday. Anyone who knew you was forever changed. Your one of a kind, and to know you was to love you. I wish you were still here because nothing feels right anymore. You took a piece of me with you. I love you and miss you so much
