Weslaco – Ele Garza Garza, de 96 años, falleció el 23 de marzo de 2026 en el Knapp Medical Center en Weslaco. Nació el 19 de abril de 1929 en el ejido de Ébano, Burgos, Tamaulipas, México, hija de Eduardo Garza Fuentes y Nicolasa Garza Garza.
Ele dedicó sus primeros años tanto a la educación como a la fe. Estudió teología en el Instituto Bíblico ALBA en Monterrey, Nuevo León, de 1944 a 1947. Con un corazón dispuesto al servicio, trabajó como maestra de escuela en el ejido de Ébano, así como en Reynosa y Matamoros, Tamaulipas, moldeando vidas jóvenes con conocimiento, disciplina y afecto.
El 15 de mayo de 1958, Ele contrajo matrimonio con el amor de su vida, Juan C. Camarillo Robles, en Burgos, Tamaulipas. En 1965, establecieron su hogar en Río Bravo, donde Ele se convirtió en una miembro devota del Templo Filadelfia (Asambleas de Dios), sirviendo bajo la guía de los pastores Elías Sánchez, Matías Saucedo y Miqueas Cantú.
Su fe fue la piedra angular de su vida. Ele amaba profundamente a su iglesia y sirvió fielmente como maestra de Escuela Dominical durante muchos años, guiando y aconsejando a los adolescentes con sabiduría y compasión. Amó y sirvió al Señor Jesucristo con fidelidad hasta sus últimos días.
En 1997, Ele se mudó a Weslaco, Texas, donde continuó su caminar espiritual junto a su esposo en el Templo Elim (Asambleas de Dios). Permaneció como una miembro activa y devota durante muchos años.
Ele fue una madre amorosa y ejemplar, cuya vida estuvo marcada por una fortaleza serena, templanza y serenidad. Quienes la conocieron solían comentar sobre la profunda paz que ella transmitía; verdaderamente irradiaba la presencia de su fe. Mujer virtuosa, encontraba gozo en cantar, leer su Biblia y dedicar tiempo a la oración. Fue, por encima de todo, una mujer de oración.
A Ele le precedieron en la muerte su amado esposo, Juan C. Camarillo Robles; sus padres, Eduardo y Nicolasa Garza Fuentes; su hija, quien falleció a la edad de un año y siete meses, Alicia Camarillo Garza; y sus hermanos, Eliseo Garza Garza, Elizear Garza Garza y Belia Garza Garza.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: José Omar Camarillo Garza (Gabriela Espinosa), Juan José Camarillo Garza, Hilda Elizabeth Camarillo Garza (Dagoberto Gallegos) y Martha Alicia Camarillo Garza (José G. Ramírez); sus hermanos: Mauro Garza Garza e Ismael Garza Garza; y sus queridos nietos: Stephanie Isamar Camarillo Mendoza, Nuni Ramírez Camarillo, Alan Eduardo Ramírez Camarillo, Gabriella Alexandra Ramírez Camarillo, Omar Camarillo Espinosa, Juan C. Ramírez Camarillo y Fernanda Elizabeth Gallegos Camarillo.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el lunes 30 de marzo de 2026, de 10:00 a. m. a 9:00 p. m., en la Funeraria McCaleb. El velorio continuará el martes 31 de marzo de 2026, de 10:00 a. m. a 12:45 p. m. La celebración de la vida de Ele tendrá lugar a la 1:00 p. m. en la Elim Assembly of God, en Weslaco. Recibirá sepultura junto a su amado esposo, Juan, en el Highland Memorial Park.
Ele será recordada por su fe inquebrantable, su espíritu apacible y la paz que compartió con todos aquellos que la conocieron; una vida bellamente vivida en devoción a Dios, a la familia y al servicio a los demás.
Weslaco – Ele Garza Garza, 96, passed away on March 23, 2026, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. She was born on April 19, 1929, in the ejido of Ébano, Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Eduardo Garza Fuentes and Nicolasa Garza Garza.
Ele devoted her early years to both education and faith. She studied theology at the ALBA Biblical Institute in Monterrey, Nuevo León from 1944 to 1947. With a heart for service, she worked as a schoolteacher in the ejido of Ébano, as well as in Reynosa and Matamoros, Tamaulipas, shaping young lives with knowledge, discipline, and care.
On May 15, 1958, Ele married the love of her life, Juan C. Camarillo Robles, in Burgos, Tamaulipas. In 1965, they made their home in Río Bravo, where Ele became a devoted member of Templo Filadelfia (Assemblies of God), serving under Pastors Elías Sánchez, Matías Saucedo, and Miqueas Cantú.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Ele loved her church deeply and faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for many years, guiding and mentoring adolescents with wisdom and compassion. She loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ faithfully until her final days.
In 1997, Ele moved to Weslaco, Texas, where she continued her spiritual journey alongside her husband at Templo Elim (Assemblies of God). She remained an active and devoted member for many years.
Ele was a loving and exemplary mother whose life was marked by quiet strength, temperance, and serenity. Those who knew her often remarked on the deep sense of peace she carried—she truly radiated the presence of her faith. A virtuous woman, she found joy in singing, reading her Bible, and spending time in prayer. She was, above all, a woman of prayer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at McCaleb Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 10 am- 12:45 pm. A celebration of Ele’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Elim Assembly of God in Weslaco. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Juan, at Highland Memorial Park.
Ele will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, and the peace she shared with all who knew her—a life beautifully lived in devotion to God, family, and service to others.
