Dear Connie, Kathee, Terry, and families . . .
Just wanted to let you know that Susan and I are so very sorry to hear the recent news of the loss of your mother (my Aunt Dean). I am sure that your mother holds a very special place in your heart, and realize that you must surely be experiencing the pain and anguish from this distinctive and painful loss in your life. Such a devastating loss of someone as close as your mother truly requires the intervention and consolation of our loving Heavenly Father, as He is capable of providing the emotionally uplifting support to help you get through this dreadfully troubling time.
Luke 1: 78 – 79 (New Living Translation)
(78) Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from Heaven is about to break upon us, (79) to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.
There is a true feeling of emptiness and heartache to have lost one as dear as your mother, which produces an overwhelming impression of an emotional void and confusing sentiments. Time does help to heal the aching from such a loss, but there will always be that special place in one’s heart for somebody that was so close, one whom you have known and depended on for your entire life, and have come to truly love unconditionally. Your mother surely loved each of you, managing to instill wholesome ethics and moral values, directing and influencing the lives of her family and friends, motivating and inspiring each of them in distinctive ways. I know that you will never lose that very special feeling in your hearts for her, holding onto each unique sentiments and endearing feelings that you have for her, and knowing that she surely affected so many people in such a positive manner.
You never can tell when you do an act
Just what the result will be;
But with every deed you are sowing a seed,
Though the harvest you may not see.
Each kindly act is an acorn dropped
In God’s productive soil
You may not know, but the tree shall grow,
With shelter for those who toil.
(From “You Never Can Tell” by Ella Wheeler Wilcox)
May the Lord grant you the uplifting hope and confident assurance to overcome the emotional trials that you are currently going through, as He fills your hearts with the joy and love of knowing He truly cares for you. Please remember that you have many friends, family, and other cousins that are also hoping and praying for your family's comfort, strength, and emotional healing during this trying time. And may you continue to be blessed with the wonderful and loving memories of the life that your mother shared with each of you.
Romans 8: 37 – 39 (New Revised Standard Version)
(37) In all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (38) For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, (39) nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Please know that our sincerest thoughts and heart-felt prayers are with you.
