Donna- Eloy Elizalde, born on October 7, 1965, in San Juan, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2024 at the McAllen Medical Center. He was a beloved figure in his community, known for his loving, caring nature and kind heart. Eloy dedicated much of his life to his career as a truck driver, where he primarily honed his skills working for Sun Belt throughout most of his career and later for Royal Trucking for over ten years.
From an early age, Eloy showed his passion for sports, playing football during his junior high and high school years. His love for the game continued as he became a die-hard Texas Longhorns fan, always enthusiastically cheering for his team. Eloy found joy in simple pleasures; his perfect day off often included barbecuing with friends while enjoying their company and reveling in the excitement of a football game. His love for friendly competition extended to playing pool, and evenings out with friends brought him great happiness.
Eloy was introduced to Emma Guajardo on June 1, 1996. They have been inseparable ever since and were married on June 1, 2001. Eloy and Emma shared an appreciation for Tejano music and could light up a dance floor with their moves. Weekends were extra special, filled with music and dancing with friends and family.
Driven by a spirit of generosity, Eloy was known to stop and assist anyone in need, embodying the essence of kindness. He would genuinely give the shirt off his back to help those around him, a testament to his compassionate character.
