Eustolia Martinez's Obituary
La Villa- Eustolia Martinez, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 23rd, surrounded by family, at her home in La Villa. Eustolia was born on November 8th, 1936, to Lino and Maria (Rodriguez) Infante in Soto La Marina (Tamaulipas), Mexico.
She and her husband, Marcelino, raised seven children. Eustolia was a hard worker. The family migrated up North yearly, and Eustolia worked long hours caring for children.
Eustolia loved playing Loteria and was usually lucky enough to win. She enjoyed visiting casinos and could play in El Paso with her youngest son. Eustolia enjoyed traveling and dressed up for every occasion. Her hair, clothes, and nails were always perfect. Eustolia also enjoyed dancing and listening to music.
Eustolia was also a great homemaker; her mole and tacos were unmatched. She was a great mom and taught her children work ethics, morals, and values. Eustolia lived life to the fullest, and her integrity and faith never wavered.
Eustolia is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Marcelino.
She is survived by her children, Elva Martinez (Lupe Cortina), Celia Martinez (Hilario Lopez), Lino Martinez (Sonia Martinez ), Maria Luisa Martinez (Martin Cortina), Elena Martinez, Juan Martinez (Paula), and Alejandro Martinez (Alma), grandchildren, Carlos and Laura Cortina, Marcelino, Alejandro, Patricio, Juana, and Nancy Lopez, Marcelino Martinez, David Cortina, Jazmin Orta, Juan Jr., Alberto, Maria, and Francisco Martinez,
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, 10 am-9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm. Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26th, at 10 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco. Burial will follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
