Flora Caballero's Obituary
Weslaco- Flora Caballero, 91, loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, was called to the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2026. Flora was born in Villa De Guadalupe, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, in 1934.
In June of 1953, she married her husband, Deacon Francisco Caballero. Their marriage was a true partnership, centered on God, family, and service to others. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home filled with love and prayer. She supported her husband faithfully during his Deaconship at St. Joan of Arc, offering encouragement, wisdom, and hospitality to all who crossed their path.
To all, she was Flora, but to those whom she loved most, she was Mom, Ama,
Grandma, Bonita, Chiquita, Bunny, Co-pilot, and GG.
She was a wonderful role model who taught her family the values of love, sacrifice, and service to others—lessons that will continue to live on through those she leaves behind. She enjoyed quality time with her children and grandchildren, as well as getaways to San Antonio, Austin, and South Padre Island. Birthdays and Holidays were always spent with her family, singing and dancing at her rancho.
Above all, Flora was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be
remembered for her generous spirit, loving matriarch, appreciation for nature, and selfless kindness to others. Despite living with Alzheimer’s the last few years, we never lost the essence of our beloved Mom and Grandma. Her spirit shone through her silly gestures and favorite songs.
She is preceded in death by her loving Husband Deacon Francisco Caballero ♱, her son Arnulfo (Leticia) Caballero ♱, her mother Concepcion Morales ♱, and sisters Maria De los Angeles Arellano ♱, Irma Mireles ♱, and brother Victor Morales Rivera ♱.
