My Dad introduced me to Mr. Lopez back in the 60's when he worked for Ed Payne. I was in my late teens but I could see that Mr. Lopez was a man that other men looked up to including my Dad.

I have many memories of Mr Lopez. We would see each other at the many family gatherings over the years. Early on he nicknamed me Grandma and therefore I would call him Grandpa. We have had that title for 25 years or more. I will miss him but I know he was getting tired and our good Lord called him to his flock. He is at peace. God bless his soul. Barb Diedrich
