WESLACO, TX.- Glenn C. Housley, 90, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at home, in Weslaco. Glenn was born on December 16, 1923, in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma, to Claude and Vida Housley. His mother died when he was 13 months old. Read Obituary
I loved listening to Glenn's stories every opportunity I got. What a remarkable memory he had! He and my dad, Lee, were quite the duo at reunions. Glenn is the last of his generation of Earley/Housley families. He was a very informative member and did considerable research on the RGV and family history when the families moved from Okla. to Texas in 1920's. He served his country as well as being an honest businessman for many years in the Rio Hondo, San Benito, Lozano, Harlingen, Weslaco area.
I had many conversations with him, and each was very informative and interesting. He had collected a lot of RGV history and shared this with many groups over the years. He will be missed by friends and family and especially our Reunions which he attended regularly. May God bless this family during this time of sorrow and strengthen them until we meet again.
