Jesus Flores Jr.'s Obituary
Weslaco/Memphis- Weslaco/Memphis – Jesus Flores Jr., 26, passed away on January 1, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Jesus, affectionately known as “Piolo” by his siblings and “Flowers” by his friends, was born in Edinburg, Texas, and grew up in Edcouch.
After graduating from high school, Jesus began working in construction, where his strong work ethic quickly became evident. When his aunt moved to Memphis, Jesus followed and found employment installing fiber optics, embracing the opportunity to build a new chapter of his life.
Jesus enjoyed fishing with his brother, Gael, and his nephew Dominic, moments that brought him peace and joy. He was talented and expressive, with a love for drawing. A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Jesus proudly supported his team. While living in Memphis, he found happiness spending time at Meeman-Shelby Forest Park and, whenever possible, enjoying a good Whataburger.
Jesus was known for his joyful spirit and infectious laughter. His charismatic personality lit up every gathering, often inspiring others to dance and celebrate life alongside him. After being diagnosed with cancer, Jesus’s true character shone even brighter. He faced his illness with courage, strength, and unwavering determination—truly a fighter.
Jesus was Catholic and held a deep love for St. Jude.
He is survived by his parents, Jesus and Maria Ester (Balderas) Flores; his aunt Dora Flores, his sisters, Maria Nava (Rodolfo), Julissa Flores, and Jennifer Flores (Elih Contreras); his brothers, Andre Flores (Ana Alfaro) and Gael Flores; and his cherished nephews and nieces, Adryan, Sophia, Natalia, Allyson, Dominic, Amethyst, and Penelope.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at McCaleb Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 1 pm, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco. Jesus will be laid to rest at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
