Sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet person. Was my husband’s, Merardo De Leon, Jr’s longtime barber up until he retired. Not to mention was also the barber to give all of our three boys, who are adults now (32, 29 & 21), their first haircut and many cuts to follow after. I mostly remember the big brown basket Joe had on top of the shelf filled with candy and lollipops ready for those squirming crying toddlers. He would play his music off what we know as his old school radio. Never failed to ask “how are you doing†as you sat on his chair. Very knowledgeable person. Always in a good mood. Always with a smile. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
