Josh was a tremendous source of inspiration to me. He was such a good organizer. He saw things that other people missed.
Josh helped me organize a men’s conference for our church and it was probably one of the best organized events we have had for men. During that time, I asked if he could critique a message I wanted to share with the men. His critique was honest. He held nothing back, knowing that it would make the message more impactful to the men. His insights were unique and helpful.
I cherish that memory of us working together!
But, what I cherish most of all, and will miss the most, was Josh’s sense of humor.
When I couldn’t get to the phone quick enough, I could count on a voicemail saying, “Your killing me smalls!†I was never sure if that was in reference to our huge height difference or a favorite line from his love for Superman’s Smallville.
Once Josh found out about my Mennonite heritage, he quickly changed my name to the Amish Mobster. He encouraged me to grow the Amish mustacheless beard and buy a buggie to get in touch with my roots.
Whenever I walked away from a conversation with Josh, I could always count on having had a good laugh. I looked forward to those chats! They lifted my spirits and washed away tension.
I will miss Josh.
Today...
I’m taking time to thank God for sharing him with me. I praise God that Josh is pain free, maybe even shooting some hoops with his savior!
I love you bro!

Josh! my amigo! 4 months seemed like years. My takeaway from our friendship is take your vision, dreams and execute! As we were operating in the trenches, Josh was behind the scenes strategizing and creating what has been missing in Cameron County.... His passion is what brought about CCC and having the pleasure to see first hand the many Patriots that hungered for such a platform and continuously show up with their gratitude to be a part of something big and bold in Cameron County is something we can thank Josh Peltier for. If everyone only knew the very things you were working on, they would understand the magnitude of this loss.
Cameron County has something new because of you, Josh!
As you once told Joanna and I when we lost another fellow member recently......’It will be ok ladies, we must move forward, we will be ok’!
Thank you for the constant positivity! Your guidance! Your understanding! Your patience and your friendship! The most we will miss is running our literal every move by you 😭 you were our permission slip. The early morning or late night idea conversations have now come to a hault, poppa Josh. We leave you at peace now.
and to Isabelle, his dear wife. He loved you oh so much!
Josh, until we meet at the pearly gates ߤ
In the short time that I've known Josh, 4 months, he became like family to me and my family. Wise beyond his 36 years, Josh worked tirelessly to further the cause of conservatives in the Rio Grande Valley. He was also very funny, though you might have missed his humor due to his deadpan delivery. Once he called a meeting with Michelle and me. He wanted a quiet place to discuss Cameron County Conservatives business. I offered my She Shed as an option. I told him he should be honored since he would be the first man to be invited to my shed. Immediately, he asked if he would be receiving a t-shirt. 😆 of course, I designed one for him! Sadly, I never got to make it for him. I'm going to miss Josh so much. He left a huge gaping hole in all of us. I'm comforted knowing that he is with our Lord Jesus Christ now in his new body. Until we meet again!
Joshua was the Leading force and guide of the Cameron County Conservatives, His passion and drive will be missed.
May God Bless Isabel and his family during this time.
For Liberty!
