Kathryn Laura Williams' Obituary
Weslaco / Sioux Falls, South Dakota – Kathryn Laura Williams, 64, passed away at her home in Weslaco, Texas. She was born on June 15, 1961, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Mavis (Johnson) & Roger Yeager adopted Kathryn. Roger passed away in 1962. Mavis cared for Kathryn and her brother Kevin before marrying Orval Boekhoff; they grew up at Wall Lake. They lived there through their childhood with Orval and Mavis (Johnson) Boekhoff. Kathryn was able to connect with her Biological Mother, RaeAnn Heinen, and have a loving relationship.
Kathryn lived life with a free spirit and an adventurous heart. She found great joy in spending time with her beloved dogs, Sadie and Kota, always by her side on their fun adventures. She cherished her friendships and was happiest surrounded by those she loved.
Kathryn had a passion for music, specifically live. She loved the freedom and exhilaration of riding motorcycles whenever the chance arose. She was always forming lasting friendships with others who shared her adventurous spirit. Whether traveling to the beach or the mountains or hanging out with friends playing Darts, she found beauty and excitement in the journey itself. Kathryn had a special place in her heart for her pets and was always quick to spoil them with tons of love.
She worked many years of her life as a jewelry maker, dental lab technician, Hy-vee clerk, as a tax consultant with H&R Block seasonal, HomeCare where Kathryn took care of a lot of people with her kindness and Passion for helping, Kathryn was always up to learning new skills and never one to stay still for long, Kathryn followed her heart from South Dakota to Minnesota on to South Texas, embracing the warmth and sunshine of her new home. She settled into the Magic Valley Community, where she built meaningful friendships and truly enjoyed her retirement years.
Kathryn is a woman of faith. She remained connected by faithfully watching Sunday services online from New Mexico, a church her mother, Mavis, once attended. Which is also the church her brother and sister-in-law attend.
Anyone could tell Kathryn loved butterflies and the color purple, simple joys that reflected her vibrant and gentle spirit. Kathryn was loving, caring, and selfless, with a heart big enough to make everyone feel special. She was funny, spunky, and sweet, and she embraced every opportunity to celebrate life’s moments—holidays, birthdays, weddings, and gatherings of any kind. Being with family and friends meant everything to her.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Roger Yeager, Orval, and Mavis Boekhoff, and her dear friends John Delay, Jeff Buckley, Zakman, Robin Schoffelman, and many more wonderful friends who were taken too soon!
She is survived by her sons, Eric Yeager (Mattia Bartscher) and Jason Bobzin; her grandchildren, Kaytana Heimark, Madison Colledge, Isabell Colledge, and Liam Bartscher; her brother, Kevin Boekhoff (Katie); her nieces and nephews, Melanie, Derek, Shay; her Biological mom, RaeAnn Heinen, half/sister Tanya Offerdahl & Family; her Best friend/Sister, Lori Rokusek and nephew Orian; her wonderful group of cherished friends who were family to her from Texas to South Dakota all the way to Canada not a heart she didn't touch.
Kathryn will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her kindness, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely with everyone in her life.
