Lloyd Keith Hofmaster, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his winter home in Texas.
On October 18, 1935, Lloyd was born on the family farm near Williamsburg Ia, Ervin, and Veda (Davis) Hofmaster. He graduated from Walford High School. Lloyd was united in marriage to Janet Lindemann on September 13, 1955, in Iowa City.
He served in the U.S Navy, a long career as an Amway distributor and later co-owner of DH Stores.
Lloyd was a lifelong member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, watching sports, traveling with Jan, participating in tractor cade rides with his brothers, playing cards with his great friends in Texas, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Jan; his daughter, Lori (Tim) Rischer of Cedar Rapids and sons, Mike of Newhall and Mark of New Hope, Mn.; seven grandchildren, Jess, Nikki, and Abby Rischer, Jon, Michaela, and Katelyn Hofmaster, Haley (David) Pearson; his brothers, Gerald (Shirley) and Bob (Charlene), sister, Shirleen (Jim) Brown of Cedar Rapids; as well as his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sherri, and his sister, Joyce Kulhavy.
