Weslaco- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria R Bazan, 82 years old, who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at her home in Weslaco, TX. Maria was born on 07/05/1943 in Mexico to Vicente Rodriguez and Manuela Cantu. She was a loving woman of faith who devoted her life to her family. Preceded in death by her father, Vicente Rodriguez, mother Manuela Cantu, brother Miguel Rodriguez, and sister Virginia Rodriguez. Survived by son Francisco Javier (Marisol) Quintanilla, son Nicholas (Maria) Bazan, daughter Leticia Lazo, daughter Laura (Pedro) Noriega, and daughter Lydia Bazan, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love, strength, and the way she kept her family united. The family would like to thank the hospice and all those who prayed and supported us during this time.
