To the Perez Family, my most sincere condolences! To my comadre Alba, thank-you for sharing your beautiful sisters with me. I've held on this to picture that was taken at my bridal shower in 1984 because it makes me smile.. There have been many other events shared since then that I have to say, Thelma added so much joy and happiness to them all. I recall a few phone calls and will fondly remember her telling me, "Navel, te quelo mucho!" She was truly a joy and will be greatly missed! Some of my favorite memories of Tia Thelma are those part of her everyday routine. Like every morning she’d eat breakfast (eggs with ketchup) and then she’d fold up her paper plate and try and throw it into the trash can, if she missed she’d go get the plate, sit back down, and “try again, try again.” I feel so lucky to have grown up in her presence, from listening to her Sugar Sugar, getting karate chops or pretend cuetes from her, and to having the El chavo theme song play over and over again on the tv. We will miss you sweet, Thelma! Rest easy, beautiful angel - and don’t forget to open that door for us when it’s our turn ♥️

One of my favorite memories would have to be google duo-ing with Tia Tama every day this past year and seeing her smile when she would see me. Memories I'll cherish forever. Oh and we can't forget all the pretend shots she would give us on our arms.
