Marie was an example of quiet strength and serenity. When my mother died, Marie provided for me a place in her heart to be a friend and mother figure. When ever I came over Marie always had a smile for me, and often asked me to sit by her. I don't have a specific memory; I only remember that through thick and thin she kept her faith. Well into her 80s she was well read and knew everything that was going on in the world. She read and did crossword puzzles until her eyesight wouldn't let her. She was surrounded by love of her family, and every Saturday, pain or not, she'd go to church. She loved her husband, doted on her children and grandchildren, and made the best of everything. I don't know with any certainty where she is now, but I do know that her presence, her spirit is smiling and sending all her love. I send her mine through time because I know that somehow we are all on the same plane, just a bit farther than we can reach to physically touch. So now I send her my love through time and receive hers in return. Take care, Marie. And to Marie's family, her strength is your strength, her smile your smile. Her faith, yours. May the Great Spirit hold each of you in the great force of love. Maria
