From a young age, Mark felt most at home in the fields. Farming was not just his work -- it was his calling. Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Loretta and Joe Maupin and Ruth and Clarence Taylor.
He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Taylor, his father, Bill Taylor, his sister, Kimberly (Lee) Moyer of Weslaco, Texas, and his brother, Matthew (Tracie) Taylor of San Antonio, Texas. He is also cherished in memory by his nephews Robert Moyer of Leander, Texas, Michael Moyer of South Padre Island, Texas, Logan Taylor of San Antonio, Texas, and Noah (Jacqueline) Taylor. Additionally, Mark is survived by his loving and devoted caregiver, Priscilla Sanchez, who made his final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
Mark's gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for the land will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be an informal Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Weslaco Elks Lodge from 2-4pm.
