Martha H. Gomez's Obituary
Martha Gomez, 80, passed away on April 1, 2026, at Knapp Medical Center. She was born on September 2, 1945.
Martha was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a woman of deep and abiding faith. She was united in marriage to her husband, Regino Gomez, with whom she shared a life centered on love, family, and service.
She took great pride in caring for her home and was known as an excellent homemaker. Martha also found joy in working in her yard, where she spent many peaceful hours tending to her surroundings.
Her greatest passion, however, was her faith. Martha dedicated her life to serving God and joyfully spent many years traveling to Mexico to share the Word of the Lord with countless individuals. She was actively involved in prayer groups and was always eager to grow in her relationship with her Lord and Savior.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria Casillas. She is survived by her beloved husband, Regino Gomez, and her sons, Juan De Dios Gomez and Regino Gomez Jr.
Visitation for Mrs. Gomez will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Park Cemetery Chapel in Mercedes. A prayer service will take place at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow at the cemetery.
Martha will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant’s heart, and the love she shared with her family and all who knew her.
