WESLACO-Melvin L Shows, 88, passed away September 19th, 2014, after a brief illness, in San Antonio.
Melvin was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an outdoor enthusiast and hunter. He served his country in the navy during WWI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Emma Shows and his wife, Faye Shows. He is survived by his two sons, Melvin Ray Shows (Susie) of Weslaco, Mike Shows (Faith) of Houston, Kathy Gonzalez (Gilbert) of San Antonio. He also had 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 21st at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 22nd, at 10:00am, Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco with Dr. Rev. Steve Parker of the First Baptist Church in Weslaco, officiating.
