Weslaco- Pablo R. Peña, D.D.S., General Dentist, who began practicing dentistry in 1980, passed away peacefully at his home in Weslaco, TX on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, surrounded by his family.Pablo was born July 11, 1952, to Hector and Carolina Peña. He attended Weslaco High School in Weslaco, TX where he was born and raised and attended Pan American University. After graduation from college, he was accepted into and graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, TX. Upon graduation with his D.D.S. degree, he began his practice in Donna, TX where he operated for more than forty-four years and provided dental services to multiple generations of his community until his death at the age of 72. He was a lifelong member of the American Dental Association and The Texas Dental Association.When he was not in his office, he loved walking the beach, fishing, reading, listening to all his favorite 70s artists, and being a home body with his wife. He was always working on something and tending to his ranch and animals.Dr. Pablo R. Peña is preceded in death by his parents Hector and Carolina Peña. He is survived by his wife, Angela Lopez Peña; daughter, Angela Peña Gonzalez; daughter, Carolina A. Peña Gonzalez; son, Christopher P. Peña; four grandchildren, Sebastian A. Gonzalez, Santiago E. Gonzalez, Juliet A. Gonzalez, Kymia K. Gonzalez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends and his treasured Malinois, Ares.He was beloved by all.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dr. Pablo R. Peña's name to Smile Train, Inc., St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and the Aurora House Foundation. Arrangements are listed below.
