Raymundo Ruiz's Obituary
Raymundo Ruiz, 98, passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, on October 25, 2025. He was born on January 7, 1927, to Ramon and Carmen Ruiz.
Raymundo married the love of his life, Herminia M. Ruiz, and together they raised five children. A skilled machinist specializing in lathes, Raymundo was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and integrity. His dedication to his craft and his family earned the respect and admiration of everyone who knew him.
Outside of work, Raymundo found joy in gardening and working with machinery. A man of simple pleasures and steady routines, he could often be found enjoying sweet bread and coffee in the morning. He was a devout Catholic whose deep faith guided his life and shaped the values he passed on to his family.
Above all, Raymundo’s greatest devotion was to Herminia, his beloved wife. He was a loving husband, a faithful provider, and a shining example of love and commitment. His children and grandchildren will forever remember his kindness, humility, and the quiet strength with which he led his life.
Raymundo is preceded in death by his loving wife, Herminia Ruiz; his parents, Ramon Ruiz and Carmen Pina; his sister, Maria Concepción Ruiz Sanchez; his son-in-law, Galdino Sereno; and his grandsons, Baby Joshua Morin and Javi Cantu.
He is survived by his children, Carmen Sereno, Mirthala R. Villarreal (Juan), Raymundo Ruiz Jr., Roberto Ruiz (Conchita), and Martha Alicia Ruiz Martinez (Jaime Zapata Lopez); fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 10 a.m., at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Raymundo will be laid to rest beside his loving wife at Highland Memorial Park.
