Richard Anthony Farias

Richard Anthony Farias was born on January 3rd, 1994, in Ridgecrest, CA, to Richard and Sandra Farias, while his father, Richard, was stationed in the United States Navy service. He lived there for a few short months before returning to the Rio Grande Valley, spending the rest of his life in Weslaco. Richard graduated high school from the Science Academy of South Texas. He continued studying at South Texas Community College shortly before enrolling at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Richard completed his undergraduate studies earning a Degree in Sciences for Computer Engineering. Richard would continue aspiring to become a vaunted computer engineer till his passing at the tender age of 28; Richard passed on the morning of December 18th, 2022.

During his life, Richard enjoyed many hobbies, including mastering his craft in Barbeque and spending many hours playing video games with his family and friends. Richard was a huge fan of military science fiction and left an impressive library of books that we will cherish in Richard's memory. Richard survives through his brothers, Samuel and Mathew Farias, his Parents Richard and Sandra Farias, and both his grandmothers, Maria Montemayor and Maria Farias. Richard also survives through many aunts and uncles, too numerous to mention. His loved ones will remember him as a strong and brave fighter, one to never back down, but also a friend who always came to your aid even in his most challenging times.
