Roberto Grimaldo Luna's Obituary
Mercedes-With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Roberto Grimaldo Luna, who departed peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by the love of his family.
Roberto was born on June 7, 1949, in Nuevo León, Mexico. From a young age, he distinguished himself by his generosity, strength, and compassionate spirit. He was an exemplary son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
He loved reading, music, and family gatherings, where his laughter and advice were the heart of the home. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled: respect, honesty, and unconditional love. He was an active and dedicated member of the San Martín de Porres Parish, especially in the chapels of Saint Jude Thaddeus and Our Lady of Guadalupe. His constant presence, helpful spirit, and willingness to assist at all times were a living testament to his Christian faith.
My father, Roberto Grimaldo Luna, was a very kind man. He had a huge heart and rarely got upset. He was generous, always trying to help people, loved his grandchildren and his whole family very much, and was very cheerful and talkative. He treated everyone equally, always telling us that we are all equal and have no reason to feel less than anyone else. He had many friends who greatly appreciated his sincerity. Above all, he spoke the truth and tried to visit his friends to chat, spend time together, and have a good time. He opened his home to people, even if he had only met them a few hours before, inviting them to eat and making them feel welcome. He was a man with a big heart. He was a good son, a great brother, an excellent husband, and a wonderful father. We are proud to be his children and thank God for the blessing of having him as our father and for the years we have enjoyed his presence. We embrace you with broken hearts but firmly believe that God will receive you in heaven. Until we meet again. Farewell, safe travels.
Roberto is preceded in death by his parents, Modesto and Guadalupe (Luna) Grimaldo, and his sister, Concepcíon Grimaldo Luna.
He is survived by his children, Julia (Mario †), Rodolfo (Enedina), Rosa (Pedro), and Juan (Esmeralda); his grandchildren, Paloma, Rodolfo Jr., Estrella, Roberto, Pedro, Keydrey, Monica, Juan Jose, and Nickolas; as well as his brother, Francisco Grimaldo Luna, and other relatives and friends who will remember him with love and gratitude.
The family appreciates the outpouring of support and affection received during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
Public visitation for Roberto will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 1 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm.
