Dave Kerby
Rocky was a year older than me, and he was a neighbor of mine in Comanche when we were young. In fact, at one time our neighborhood had four families, all with three boys in the same age range (born 1952 to 1956). There were the three Kerby boys on Williams Drive. One block east were the three Riley boys (Kyle was not born yet). And one block west were the three Parker boys. Then a Coach Newton was in town for a while, and he also had three boys. With 12 boys, we always had enough to play any game we wanted. Rocky’s sense of humor made those games lots of fun. I last talked with Lou Riley in the summer of 2004, and she recalled with joy and laughter those fun days when we boys would play over at her house. You left quite a legacy, Rocky.
