Roman Amador's Obituary
Roman Amador, 54, of Weslaco, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born on November 13, 1970, in Weslaco, and from a young age, he was known for his friendly spirit, kind heart, and love of family.
Roman enjoyed life’s simple pleasures —spending time with friends, family, and cousins at backyard barbecues, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys during football games, fishing, and cooking meals that brought people together. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, often starting conversations with strangers who quickly became friends.
Music was Roman’s passion. He was a talented singer who loved belting out both country and rock favorites. His playlists reflected his eclectic taste, from Metallica—his favorite band—to Johnny Cash, George Strait, Hank Williams Jr., and KISS. He also enjoyed watching movies, especially Star Wars, and exploring the wonders of National Geographic.
Roman lived with a generous spirit. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, especially to his mother, and he deeply admired and respected those who served their country, holding special pride for his military cousins.
In his younger years, Roman worked for Heinz in Holland, Michigan, before moving to Florida, where he became a chef, sharing his love for good food with others.
A man of faith, Roman was a devoted Catholic whose kindness and joyful presence touched many lives.
He will be remembered for his big heart, his music, his laughter, and the way he made every gathering brighter.
Roman is survived by his mom, Consuelo Cardenas, his dad, Renaul Amador Sr., his sister, Mari Hernandez (Danny), his brothers, Renaul Amador Jr. (Sandra), Rudy Amador, and Rene Amador, and numerous nieces and nephews.
