Rose Ann Peña-Campos' Obituary
Rose Ann Peña -Campos, 58, of Weslaco, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength, faith, and determination carried her through every challenge, and her loving spirit touched all who knew her.
Rose Ann was born on August 1, 1967, in Weslaco, Texas to Felipe and San Juana Peña. She graduated from Mercedes High School and dedicated her life to the people she loved most– her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness made everyone feel welcome.
Rose Ann took pride in caring for her family, football games, cookouts, and working in her yard. She enjoyed trips to the beach and to Mexico, and cherished country and Tejano music. She was a true blue Dallas Cowboys fan through and through. Most of all, she was a lover of life and a light to many who needed her.
Her faith and determination helped her fight hard when she was diagnosed with cancer. She faced every day with grace, courage, and an unwavering love for her family.
Rose Ann was preceded in death by her father, Felipe Peña; her maternal and paternal grandparents; several maternal uncles; her maternal aunt, Olga Rodriguez; and her great nephew, Jacob Gray.
Rose Ann is survived by her mother, San Juana Peña; her beloved husband, David Campos; and her children, Justin Maganas, Chelsea Ann Peña, Sabrina Ann Cano, and Alessandra Ann Cano.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Gracie Ann Mendoza, Jacob Ryan Cano, Cash Millan Maganas, Gustavo Mendoza III, Kaylanni Ann Free, Azaiah Perez, and Arias Perez.
Rose Ann is further survived by her siblings, Lisa Ann Gutierrez (Eddie Gutierrez), and Pablo Peña (ElliePeña), along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were blessed by her love and presence.
Though her passing leaves a tremendous void, Rose Ann’s beautiful spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at McCaleb Funeral home of Weslaco, Tx on Friday, June 5th, 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, June 6th, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
